Sol Naciente Pailma Acacio's Obituary
Sol Naciente Pailma Acacio, 68, of Waipahu, Hawaii passed away in his home on December 23, 2025. He was born on December 22, 1957 in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Sol enjoyed gardening, vacationing with his wife, and cooking.
Sol served as a 13B - Cannon Crewmember in the U.S. Army from 1987-1991, earning multiple awards and qualifications including an Air Assault Badge. He then spent 27 years, starting in 1992 at the Board of Water Supply in multiple roles from Pipefitter to Inspector, culminating in his retirement at the end of 2019.
He is preceded in death by his father, Domingo Racimo Acacio and his mother, Francisca Pailma.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Felorena, his sister May (Aureo) Calapini, his two sons Kevin (Thuy Nguyen) and Sol Niki, and his daughter, Danielle Dawn.
There will be a service to celebrate the life of Sol Naciente at Mililani Mortuary Park - Mauka Chapel, at 9:30am on February 25, 2026. Burial to follow.
