Stanley Keomaka's Obituary
Stanley Keomaka, 78, of Waipahu, Hawaiʻi, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at Pali Momi Medical Center, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Stanley was born on March 25, 1947, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, to John Makaʻalu Moʻi (also known as Albert Makule Keomaka) and Katherine De Souza Keomaka.
He was raised in Hālawa Housing and graduated from ʻAiea High School, where he took great pride in being a Nā Aliʻi alumnus. As a young man, Stanley began his working life at Willys Gas Station before continuing on to NAPA Auto Parts in ʻAiea.
After graduating from high school, he was encouraged by his father to apply at Pacific Cement & Aggregate, where he began what would become a remarkable lifelong career. Through company transitions from Pacific Cement & Aggregate to Lone Star Cement and eventually Hawaiian Cement, Stanley remained a loyal and dedicated employee.
Stanley dedicated an extraordinary 60 years of service and was recognized as the company’s longest-serving employee. Over the years, he took on many roles, beginning as a laborer and later becoming a driver. He spent more than 30 years operating ready-mix trucks before transitioning to his role as a stockpile loader operator at Hālawa Quarry.
Stanley was also recognized for his innovation and contributions, including receiving an Einstein Award in 2022. He developed a marketable aggregate product by blending previously unused materials to meet customer demand. This innovation made a significant impact on annual sales revenue and reflected his resourcefulness and forward-thinking approach. His ingenuity helped improve operations at Hawaiian Cement through practical, cost-effective solutions.
Stanley will be remembered for his strong work ethic, innovation, and unwavering dedication to his family and work. His legacy of hard work and humility will live on in all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Momilani Burns Keomaka; his children: daughters, Ann Marie Keomaka-Alicea (Jeffery Alicea), Jennifer Keomaka (late Cory Aiwohi Sr.), and Cathleen Keomaka (Matthew Lively); and sons, Stanton “Imua” Keomaka-Loo (Ellise Keomaka-Loo), Bryan Keomaka Parish (Ashley Parish), Henry “Kana” Keomaka (Tilomai Vitale-Keomaka), and Abraham “Kaleo” Keomaka (Angelica Keomaka).
