My earliest memory of Mr. Stanley,I used to call him a long with many other kids goes way back to when I was a young Keki at Ewa Beach Elementary. He was such a kind and giving person. Thought of others before himself. I remember getting awesome gifts from him every holiday every year. I got a huge candy cane one year so big my cousins and I walked home and shared it together! He was always there when he knew I wasn’t eating lunch because I couldn’t afford it he came and brought me a full meal from McDonald’s. He was a blessing that made a young Samoan kid feel loved when he never got the same at home. Fast forward to 2015 my sister told me “Mr. sawa came by!†I was confused until she said “Mr stanley!†I was shocked! She told me he was a PE teacher at August Ahrens in Waipahu. I moved to Waipahu when I was in the 4th grade. My sister said he had looked through the system to find me & where I lived. I graduated High School in Tacoma, WA and she sent me a photo when I graduated and said he’d been looking for me. I’m so sorry I never got to see you Mr. Stanley. I’m just finding out about this as well. Your compassion & generosity will never be forgotten. I’ll always remember the love that you shared with not only me but also my cousins and siblings. Love you uncle Stanley. - Sapati Tuiolemotu
