Stephen Kahaleala Kalama's Obituary
Stephen Kahaleala Kalama, of Waianae, Oahu, died on February 15, 2026 at Kaiser Hospital, Moanalua, surrounded by his family. Born in Lahaina, he was 93.
Also known as Steve and Junior, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose "Tweetie" Kalama, his parents, Stephen Kelii Kalama and Mae Kalama, his daughter Charmaine Kaneshiro, his grandson Joshua Hatori-Kalama and his siblings, Myrna Lyerla, Donald Kalama, Blossom Kalua, Anna Kisner, and Alvin Kalama. Steve is survived by his children, Kim Leolani Kalama, Reginald Kalama, Gordean Kauihou, Joycelyn Kalama, Colette Kalama, Rayden Kalama and Stephen R. Kalama, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, and numerous cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on April 21, 2026 at the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation at 10:00 am, Services at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at 2:00 pm at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe at 2:00 p.m.
