Sumiko Konishi Obituary
Sumiko Konishi, 87 of Waianae, passed away at her home in Waianae, HI on October 9, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born in Wahiawa on July 14, 1933 the youngest of 10 children. After graduating from Leilehua High School in 1951, she enlisted in the Women's Army Corp where she served a few years before returning to civilian life. As a civilian, she worked in Tachikawa, Japan, then later returned to Hawaii to work at Hickam Air Force Base as a secretary/stenographer where she retired. Married in 1967, she became a homemaker to a loving husband and two children. A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband Walter Konishi, son Kevin (Alicia) Konishi, daughter Diane Yukumoto; brother Yukio (Chie) Iha; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services. No monetary offerings.
