Susan Hiroko Oshiro, 61, of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away on April 28, 2024, in Honolulu. She was born on April 29, 1962, in Ewa, Hawaii.
She retired in 2024 after 35-plus years of working in event coordinating, administration, advertising, and marketing. She was a Sunday Dharma School teacher at Mililani Hongwanji, the Commissioner of Buddhist Education for the Oahu District, and volunteered her time with many other school and community organizations. She was known for being well-organized, creative, thoughtful, and kind to everyone she met.
She is survived by husband, Patrick; son, Tyler; daughter, Chloé; cat, Molly; sister, Karen (Eduardo) Chenchin; brother, Arnold (Aileen Soma) Yoshioka; sister, Darlene Yoshioka; nephew, Mark (Asti) Chenchin; niece, Jill (Thomas) Kim; nephews, Kevin Yoshioka and Brett Yoshioka.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 9:30 am and service at 10:30 am.
