VERNA M. ESPINDA, 78 of Kapahulu passed away on October 25, 2018 at The Queens Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu, HI. She is survived by her children Mark Espinda, Valerie (Bob) D’Amato, Greydon (Kelley) Espinda, Denise (Lance) Narito, Eugene Espinda, 13 Grandchildren (Nicholas Espinda, Christel Lleces, Jared Espinda, Robert D’Amato, Jr., Amanda Ruiz, Cody D’Amato, Mari Tamamoto, Scott Espinda, Bryson Narito, Louis Espinda, Ikaika Narito, Tayler Espinda, Kaelyn Espinda) and 10 Great-Grandchildren (Dominick Espinda, Brooke D’Amato, Ayva Espinda, Arianna Ruiz, Luke D’Amato, Ellie Lleces, Anthony Jr. Ruiz, Ben D’Amato, Peyton Lleces, Quinn Tamamoto), brothers Craig Yoshida, Melvin Yoshida and sisters Sally Tanji, Judy Pasco and Judith "Keiko" Kuwata.
She worked in the construction industry for over 50 years at various mechanical construction firms such as Oahu Plumbing & Sheet Metal, Continental Mechanical of the Pacific, Alakai Mechanical and lastly dedicating her final 22 years as a Purchasing Manager with Heide & Cook. She will "Always Be In Our Hearts".
Visitation will start at 5:00pm, Monday December 3, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park’s Mauka Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30pm.
