Verna, 83, of Waianae, Hawaii, passed away on October 10, 2021. She was born on September 15, 1938.
She attended St. Patrick Elementary until 8th grade and Star of The Sea School from 9th to 12th grade.
She was in the first graduating class of Star of The Sea. She then enlisted in the US Airforce- 1st all Hawaiian Group. She was stationed in various US States.
Verna met her first husband, Charles Plake in the Airforce. Where they were married.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Kimberly) Plake and daughter, Jennifer (David) Cash; her brother, Henry "Hank" Wong; sister, Elaine Keb-Bodine and Grandchildren, Robert Plake, Jennifer Plake, Step-Granddaughter Jeanna Core, Evan Kekoa Cash; Great Grandchildren, Logan Plake and Brody Plake.
She worked for General Telephone Company in Orange County, California and retired. Her second marriage was to Solomon Wong, who died on February 15, 2012. She was also active in Paradise Chapel.
