Vincent Ramos Obituary
Vincent Tangonan Ramos, 81 years of age, of Aliamanu, Hawaii, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center after battling breast cancer along with a host of medical issues. As with all the difficult issues in his life, Vincent managed his illness with strength and resolve. Spending his time and energy as much as possible with his loved ones.
Vincent was born on April 5, 1941, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte. He attended San Agustin Elementary School and graduated from St. Andrew’s High School. At the age of 17, he immigrated to Oahu, Hawaii. After five years, he returned to the Philippines and met his wife, Milagros Arzadon, a marriage lasting 57 years and the bringing forth of four children.
Vincent was employed as a mill man with Amfac for 35 years. During his younger years, he enjoyed making furniture, playing cards, cooking, gardening, telling stories of his upbringing, telling jokes and riddles, creating magic tricks, drawing, fishing, and spending time with family. As he got older, he enjoyed playing solitaire, and watching action movies in addition to watching his favorite game shows: The Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. Most of all he was a passionate “foodie”.
He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle and always provided for his loved ones no matter the cost.
Vincent is survived by his wife Milagros Ramos, two sons, Robert Ramos (Ariana Javier) of Northridge, CA; Ronald (Ellarye) Ramos of Winter Springs, FL; daughter, Rowena (Gerry) Aquino of Stockton, CA; and seven grandchildren, Nolan Kaleo Ramos (NV), Ashlynn-Rose Jeanette Wilhelm (AZ), Ryan Kailee Ramos Aquino (CA), Marley Tiare Ihara Ramos (FL), Bruce Christian Ramos Aquino (CA), Ayla Elizabeth Javier-Ramos (CA), and Desmond Leo Javier-Ramos (CA); sister, Virginia Ramos Acorda, and brother, Santos Ramos, Jr., uncle to Billy, Danny, Errol, Marisalyn, Edwin, Cassandra, Sabrina, Elgin, Kalealani, Dauphney, Maritess, Gracia, Cristina, and Nerissa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos Ramos and Maria Ramos; daughter, Rosalie Jean Ramos Scharf; and brother, Roy Ramos.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. and Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial Service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park.
