Virginia Cabilao Obituary
Virginia Banis Cabilao of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019, she was 72 years old. Affectionately called Virgie by family and friends, she was known to have a kind and compassionate heart, an infectious smile and was fiercely loyal to her family. Virgie was retired from her Federal Government position where she served as a contract specialist.
Virgie had a passion for cooking (which she passed on to her sons), playing blackjack and payut; she enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas; and her last big trip was a 28-day cruise in Asia. Virgie loved to dance and was active in Orchid Society Clubs. Most of all Virgie loved to shower all of her love and attention onto her surviving grandchildren, Nelson Kekoa Miram-Cabilao, Kaya-Rose Cabilao, Jayden and Aizeah Cabilao.
Virgie was preceded by father, Juan, Sr. and mother Eusebia, brothers, Ricardo, Juan, Jr., Vincent, Terry, Melvin, Reynold, and Byron, and sisters, Mary, Caridad, Alma, Dorothy, Rosalina, and Claudia. Virgie leaves behind her beloved husband of 49-years, Bernard, sons Jason, Robin (Berna) and Brad, sisters, Enemesia (Tiburcio) Basilio, Elizabeth (Rudolfo) Balgos, Winifred (Rocky Santos) Algoso, stepmother Catherine Banis, and half-sisters Ruby (Shawn) Pierce and Brenda (Robert) Dempsey, and cherished nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Services are as follows: Visitation 5:30 pm, Monday, November 18, 2019 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel followed by services at 6:30 pm. Day 2, Visitation on November 19, 2019 will be at 10:30 am, with prayer service at 11:30 am and burial at 12:30 pm.
