Tonight, I am heartbroken over the loss of my granddaddy, Walter Figueroa Sr. He was always larger than life to me. He was my grandpa, and he could do anything. We shared a passion for motorcycles and riding. He suffered a stroke, which took the use of his throttle hand, but he remained a rider at heart. We would spend hours talking about bikes and riding. He was a Harley Dyna Rider, and Im an Indian Challenger rider. We talked about our bikes and why we loved them. We would talk about the trike he was gonna get one day. Whenever I hit the road, he would call and talk to me. I would describe the scenery and take him with me as best as I could. He would worry about me, and pray for me to be careful on the road. He was always in awe of his first granddaughter, the biker. And, I was inspired by him and his riding stories with my grandma on the back. The Hibiscus flowers on my bike are in honor of him, so that I always bring him along for the ride. I miss you so much, Grandpa. I will always love you. May you Ride in Paradise.
Deepest condolences to the family and friends. We will keep you in our prayers during this difficult time.
My dad was my first love. He loved family. I know he loved me as much as I he. Thank you to all those who cared and comfort him. It is with a heavy heart that I can not be there during this world pandemic we are all dealing with. Please keep me in your prayers. I will say aloha for now daddy until we see each other again. Your loving daughterWillette
