Walter "Yasu" Hirakawa, passed away on September 1, 2021. He is survived by his wife Frances; son, Ken (Leigh), and his two daughters, Wendy Himalaya and Debbie (Jon) Shigemura. He was born in Wahiawa on May 27, 1933. He worked as a federal employee then in retirement as a golf marshal since he loved to golf. He enjoyed visiting the 9th Island and rolling the dice. Proud grandfather to 6 grandchildren, Jonathon, Shane, Miki, Kimiko, Maegan and Jaime. And great grandfather to 8 great-grandchildren. Private services to be held at a later date.
