Warren Takeshi Ideguchi's Obituary
Warren Ideguchi Obituary
Warren Takeshi Ideguchi, or “Takeshi” as he was often called, passed away on November 6, 2024 in Scottsdale, Arizona surrounded by the comfort of loving family. He was 83 years old. Warren was the youngest son of Miyoshi and Tsuya Ideguchi. He was raised in Whitmore Village in Wahiawa, and graduated from Leilehua High school. Throughout his life, his interests included construction, cooking, golf, singing karaoke, gardening, watching all sports–especially golf, football, volleyball and baseball, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Warren worked in various capacities in the construction field, eventually specializing in drilling and blasting management. He took great pride in his work and always talked about how he could achieve great results without compromising safety. Other than Hawaii, he has lived on Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, Reno, Nevada, and the last few years of his life, in North Carolina and Arizona with his daughter, Temple. During those last few years he enjoyed gardening, ride-on lawnmowing, watching NHK or YouTube construction videos, and traveling, where he spent quality slot machine time while enjoying his many Bud Lights!
Warren will always be remembered for his warm and generous nature. He was “everyone’s best friend”; he never hesitated to lend an ear or a hand to family or friends in need. He always wanted to get people together, whether it was for a special holiday event or just a backyard hang out to “talk story”. He loved meeting new people and was the first to strike up a conversation with a stranger. His warm smile would immediately break the ice and people naturally felt drawn to him.
Warren is survived by his older sisters, Yasuko Shiraishi, Gladys “Taeko” Nakamoto, younger sister, Naomi Ohara, daughters, Temple Troy and Tasha Timbadia, Lucia Fiorentino, Angela Fiorentino-Rios, Aida Makonnen-Lopez, son, Riccardo Fiorentino, grandchildren, James “AJ” Easley-Ideguchi, Amaya Troy, Tommy Troy, Kailen Timbadia and Kira Timbadia.
