In Loving Memory of Wayne Yoji Toma
Wayne Toma, age 77, of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away on January 25, 2025.
Wayne worked at the University of Hawaii’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources for 42 years as an IT and Computer Specialist. He was known for his dedication, technical expertise, and willingness to lend a helping hand to all faculty and students.
Loved by family and friends, Wayne enjoyed “talking story”, cooking, tailgating, and spending quality time with everyone. He also enjoyed traveling and exercising. A skilled and avid golfer, Wayne achieved five holes-in-one over the years.
Wayne is survived by his wife Nora, son Gavin and daughter-in-law Marisa; and his extended family—Lori and Warren Kunimoto, Glenn and Debra Watanabe, Yvonne (Ron) Toma, Nelwyn and Eric Yee, and Fred Watanabe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Mililani Memorial Park, Mauka Chapel. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m., with a service to follow at 6:30 p.m. Fellowship and refreshments will be shared afterward as we honor Wayne’s memory together.
