I have searched for Mr Ventura over the years and now sadly learn of his passing. He was my very favorite teacher ever. I had him in 4th grade at Nightingale School in Orcutt California. He shared many Hawaiian stories which we all enjoyed. A truly wonderful man. I treasure that school year with that fine man! Know that he was loved. I just wish I had found him earlier.
Mr. Ventura was the best teacher. I was fortunate to have him during his first year as a teacher in Santa Maria, CA. He was awarded Teacher of the Year his very first year. He was a natural. I'm so glad we stayed in touch over several years. Wonderful man, kind, gentle and humble person. He will be greatly missed always.
