William Carl Willis Jr.'s Obituary
William "Bill" Carl Willis Jr., age 81, of Aiea, Hawaii, died on February 10, 2026 at Pali Momi Medical Center. William was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 3, 1944 to William C. Willis and Grace Momoe Winslow.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Patricia and Leila.
Following his graduation from McKinley High School he joined the U.S. Air Force where he serviced for four years in Europe in the field of recreation (organizing various sport teams to compete against other military bases and, also perform coaching duties). He also enjoyed playing his guitar where he was in a band performing in canteens. Upon his honorable discharge from military service, William began a career as a drywall taper in construction and eventually rose to foreman, working on many projects across the Hawaiian Islands. After retiring from construction, William worked at Sam's Club for 10 years. William loved fishing with his brother; playing cards with family; and trips to Las Vegas on comp. William met his wife of 50 years, Tammy, in 1972. In 1977 they had their daughter Thea.
Mr. Willis is survived by his wife Tammy, his daughter and son-in-law: Thea (Andrew) of Los Angeles; as well as his brother and sister: Steven (Doreen) of Pearl City, Hawaii, and Valarie of Las Vegas; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Palama Settlement
