About Us
The Mililani Difference
Since 1960, we have been honored to deliver healing experiences to the Oahu community. We exist to serve the unique needs of every family. Learn our story. Lean on us. And let our expertise lead you through the best experience possible.
Our pledge
We’re here to give you care and comfort as we help guide you through the planning journey.
Our Story
We've learned a lot about caring for families over the years. We realize that we aren't just caring for a loved one, but the entire family. People come to us during their most difficult times, and we respond with kindness, understanding and expertise. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home as we work with them to create a memorable service in honor of a beautiful life.
Our Legacy of Care
For over 60 years, Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary has been a part of Oʻahu’s story — serving families with compassion, dignity, and aloha. Join us on a journey through our history to see how we’ve grown, adapted, and remained rooted in our commitment to care.
A Vision Begins
In May 1960, Mililani Memorial Park was incorporated with a vision to create a serene and dignified final resting place for Oʻahu families. What began as open land would soon become one of the island’s most trusted memorial spaces.
Our Mission
To offer comprehensive, affordable services all in one place — with care rooted in community.
Growth with Purpose
Zoned for 143 acres and with 63 acres currently developed, the memorial park was thoughtfully expanded to offer a peaceful and enduring place for generations to come.
Expanding Into Honolulu
In 1976, Mililani Memorial expanded its reach by acquiring the Downtown Chapel in Honolulu, bringing trusted care to families in the city.
A State-of-the-Art Facility
In January 1995, we opened one of Hawaiʻi’s largest and most advanced funeral care facilities — setting a new standard for service, comfort, and innovation.
Everything in One Place
Today, Mililani Memorial is proud to own and operate its funeral home, crematorium, and cemetery. This all-in-one approach provides families with simplicity, convenience, and peace of mind.

Chace Ward
Managing Partner of Operations
Chace began his career in the funeral industry on his 18th birthday as a cemetery caretaker, a role that laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to compassionate service.
He later served as the superintendent of Mountain View Memorial Park in Tacoma, Washington, where he led operations with care and integrity.
In 2024, Chace relocated to Hawaii to take on the role of Managing Partner of Operations at Maui Memorial Park, continuing his dedication to supporting families with dignity and respect.
Outside of work, Chace enjoys spending time in nature- whether hiking trails or relaxing on the beach with his significant other, Ashley, and their five children, ages 19 to 8. His oldest son, Aidan, is proudly following in his father's footsteps as a cemetery caretaker at Mountain View Memorial Park.
Tim Lenz
Managing Partner, Family Service
Tim brings a wealth of experience to the Mililani team, joining us from Washington State where he served as a Managing Partner of Family Service at a large cemetery and funeral home for three years. Prior to that, Tim dedicated seven years to leading sales teams for numerous funeral homes and cemeteries in the greater Houston area.
Tim received a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in theology and minor in psychology from Texas Lutheran University in 2006. Tim then served as Director of Youth and Family Ministry for eight years for a congregation in Houston. After meeting his wife, Valerie, Tim and she volunteered in Southeast Asia for almost a year before returning back to Houston and then beginning a career in the cemetery and funeral industry.
Tim and his wife, Valerie have three daughters, Willa, Elle, and Nomi. Tim and his family enjoy all the outdoors have to offer, such has camping, hiking, going to the beach, and anything involving activities around the water. This is his family’s first time to reside on the island and look forward to becoming part of this welcoming community.
One of Tim’s passions is serving families in times of need, whether it be after losing a loved one, or in assisting them to discover the benefits of planning ahead in order to help protect their loved ones.
Tim knows that no single approach is the right one for everyone and believes in providing in a range of options to include each individual’s desires, traditions, and beliefs.
He has had the pleasure of helping families plan meaningful tributes for themselves and their loved ones, including custom memorial services, traditional funeral services, discovering a peaceful final resting place in a cemetery, and everything in between. Tim prides himself on serving each family as if they were his own, with great attention to detail and care.
