Benjamin Soriano “Benny” Ballesteros, 91 of Waialua, passed away on February 6, 2021 at his home in Waialua.
A former employee of the Waialua Sugar Company. At the age of 18, in 1947, he started as a “Hoe-Hana Man” and worked his way up to a “Transplant & Seed Preparation Overseer.” He then retired in 1991 after 43 years of employment with Waialua Sugar Company. He was also an avid Amateur Radio Operator, with the call sign, KH6LJ. He is the founder, manager and chairman of Ohana.Net. His legacy remains alive with many more members across the nation.
He is survived by his son Benjamin Jr. (Cheryl); Daughters, Patricia Wong (Calvin Jr.), Paulette Rivera (Chuck), Laureen Ballesteros (Germaine), Francine Perreira (Jerry Jr.); Grandchildren, Nolan Ballesteros (Ashley), Marisa Ballesteros (Ryan), Calvin Wong III (Chanda), Peni Sabagala (Beau), Christopher Wong (Angela), Jarrod Lunaso, Jodi Waters (Anthony), Jerry Boy Perreira, Justin Perreira (Sarah), Jessica Perreira, Jordan Perreira; Sisters, Marcelina Calilao, Maria Acosta; 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
