I just found out about my good friend and mentor Don Brown's death. Don and I were very close and loved working on the TYQ-2 together. He was the best tech rep on the TYQ-2 I had the privilege of working with. After a long week of work we always drank a few beers together on Friday at happy hour at SNCO club in Kaneohe. I spoke at the first MACCS conference last year and he was one of my three topics and I honored him as much as I could. I can only say I loved the man and respected him very much. He told me I was the best tech in the Marines he had ever worked with. He knew I had never went to tech school but was taught by Vance White. He said I was better on the I Hut and the 18 than anyone he had ever seen. He taught me a lot and his memory will always be with me. Rest in peace Don. Â
