Donella (Della) June Abregano-Joaquin, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Ewa, Hawai‘i, and raised in Waipahu. Della’s lived a life grounded in love, hard work, and family.
For 30 years, Della's was a dedicated and familiar face at Mililani Walmart, where she built not only a career but a community. Her work ethic, kindness, and genuine smile left lasting impressions on coworkers and customers alike.
Above all, Della's was a devoted mother and proud grandmother. Her heart beamed with joy watching her grandson play baseball—cheering him on at games brought her immense happiness. Her love for her family was fierce, steady, and unconditional.
She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and selfless care that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
She is survived by sons, Travis W. Joaquin (Sharelle), Bronson A.C. Joaquin, Josiah A. Keliihoomalu-Abregano; brothers, Roland A. Abregano (Mary Ann), Gerald A. Abregano, Garrett P. Abregano, and Darwin A. Aliser; sisters, Brenda J. Walker, and Reinette C. Ashpole; 1 grandchild, Tytyn Zayn Omerod-Joaquin. Deceased brothers; Robert A. Abregano and Dominic A. Abregano, deceased sisters; Donna L. Tolentino and Paulette L. Cardenas, deceased parents; Don Abregano and Connie Abregano.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel.
Visitation begins at 9:00 am and service 10:00 am.
Inurnment to follow, 11:30 am at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
