To the Kaulu I'm so sorry for the Loss. I came across John obituary because I was trying to find him online and reconnect. My name is Richy Herrera I was in the USMC back from 1992-1996. When I got stationed at Kanehoe Bay I reached out to John and Aloha . John knew my family from the Boxing club. During my time in Hawaii I was blessed by John and Aloha whinooened their doors to me on Thanksgiving and Christmas. John and I would talk Marine Corps story and boy he had the best. A memory I have is on Thanskging we ate and played a game board called Boulderdash. John had the funniest definitions and made us laugh.
