JOHN KAULU Obituary
JOHN KELI'I KAULU, 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 7, 2022. Born January 23, 1947 to John K. Kaulu and Alma Bartels (Paul) Kealoha; attended Manoa, Kalihi and Aiea Elementary Schools; proud graduate Aiea High School c/o ’65 and Chaminade University c/o ’78. He honorably served the U.S. Marine Corps (3rd Force Recon), the Honolulu Police Dept (TOD; PAL); the Prince Kuhio Federal Courts and Securitas Security Services (Airport Division, First Watch).
John’s legacy is his loving wife of 52 years, Aloha Kaulu; sons John Kaulu IV and (predeceased) Carlton (Jill) Rapozo; daughters Jolie (Keli’i) Moore, Jona (Vernon) DeSoto; Joey (Laurent) Kergall and Kanani Kaulu; 13 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren; as well as brothers William (Diana) Kaulu, (predeceased) Allan Kealoha; sisters (predeceased) Marilyn (Harry) Kim, Lanette (Harry) Moleta and Paulie (Rayvon) Johnson and the countless nieces, nephews and friends who will remember his smile, his kolohe wit and favorite karaoke songs for many laughing years to come.
Celebration of Life on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Mililani Mortuary Downtown from 9am to 12pm; Pre-burial honors at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery (Kaneohe) promptly at 1pm.
