Lloyd Chong Obituary
Lloyd K.C. Chong, 92, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, died on March 3, 2024. He was born in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii and spent his childhood in Kakaako and Palama. He was a graduate of Iolani School (class of 1950) and the University of Hawaii at Manoa (class of 1960). During Lloyd’s 43-year career in civil service, he served in different capacities, including as the Administrator of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Apprentice School.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Nora, daughter Vanessa, and son Lloyd Arturo (Marcie), three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Genevieve Chong, sister Audrienne Kaninau, and brother Leonard Chong.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Mililani Memorial Park, Makai Chapel. Visitation 9:30 a.m., service 10:00 a.m., and burial 11:30 a.m. Aloha attire.
