Mary Jacqueline Smith's Obituary
Mary "Jackie" Smith was born in Detroit, MI on November 22,1942. She grew up in Michigan, spent 14 years in Colorado and Washington State, before moving to Texas in 1986, where she met her beloved husband Pewter Smith. They shared a wonderful life together in North Texas before he preceded her in death in 2013. In 2018 she moved to Hawaii to be near her son and his wife and family.
The one defining attribute which all who knew her would testify to was her faith in God and in her Lord and Savior Jesus, with whom she walked humbly and faithfully for nearly 50 years. She loved Jesus and loved people, and would share her time and faith with anyone who befriended her. She loved the Church and her brothers and sisters in the faith and joyfully opened her home to her beloved Bible study group every week. She looked forward with great anticipation to the day when her faith would be turned to sight, and on October 12, 2025 her hope was realized as she left her dying body and ascended to meet her Savior.
Our funeral service will begin at 7pm on November 17 at Trinity Church Central Oahu in Mililani, with visitation from 6pm. Graveside service will be at 9am on Nov 18.
