Mrs. Hambaro (Momma Hambaro) was a very special soul loved by many. I had the pleasure of helping her son, William Hambaro take care of his mom and give his sister, Cindy a break from being the primary care giver for Momma Hambaro. I have some many great memories of Momma Hambaro. I still remember the first day I met her; she handed me a flower from her flower garden at Wanaka Street. William and I lived down stairs from her at the Wanaka Street house for three years before moving to Makaha. I can still hear her knocking at the back door at the Wanaka Street house. William and I spent several Mother’s Days with Momma Hambaro. And I would not traded those memories for anything; because, it brought lots of joy to her son. Momma Hambaro and I loved watching “I Love Lucyâ€. She loved relaxing in the garden at the Makaha House while watching the momma hen and her chicks run around in the yard. I am so grateful to have known such a kind, loving, and gentle soul. I will miss you dearly. And you will forever be in my heart!
