Mom and Grandma Dungca was the kindest and most loving woman❣️🥰💕😘💖. She was like a mom and grandma to my girls and I, especially after we moved back to HI. She and the rest of the Dungca Ohana were like family to us and my girls always wanted to be around them for holidays or just to hang out on the weekends. We had the best times camping or just hanging in the back yard. She was always giving of herself even when she was tired or not feeling the best. Mom, I will always treasure all of the memories you gave to my girls and I. Thank you for treating us like family for all of those years. You will be missed and will remain in our hearts forever. 🙏💕😘. Luv you, Momo, Christi & Katie
I had the privilege of meeting Ray and Marie thru her beautiful daughters Raychelle and Vee. When I first met them I was touched by their kindness and Aloha spirit! I will never forget Marie's smile and the warmth in her beautiful eyes. It left me with an impression of "what a beautiful kine soul, so full of wisdom, with so much Aloha." It left an impression within me, and truly made my heart smile. Upon meeting again this year in their hale, that smile in my heart and warmth still resonates within me. Thank you God for Marie such an amazing human being. She has left a bright light for all who has had the privilege to know her, Raymond, and the entire Dungca Ohana.
In honor of today, I would like to share a video created by my mom, Kumu Hula Rosemarie Dungca. This was a Patriot Medley performance of her students ant a Kupuna Festival in Kona, HI. I just wanted to share her creation of this hula. Happy 4th of July everyone.
Rosemarie was such an incredible person. She had a big heart with unconditional love for everyone. Always remember the good times, and the cooking lessons she gave me. I’ll miss her beautiful smile and love. She will always remain in your hearts through every act and decision you make. All my love during this difficult time.
We the Gray Ohana, have so many childhood memories. Of our families getting together and having so much fun. Aunty mading had such an awesome personality and she was funny too. She could cook, we always left with full bellies. Aunty will be remembered as 1 of our favorite Auntie’s.
It is with profound sadness that I say goodbye to my Auntie Marie, a woman whose kindness, love, and unwavering spirit touched us all so deeply. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.Auntie Marie had a truly remarkable gift for making everyone feel loved and welcomed. From the moment you stepped into her home, you were enveloped in an embrace of genuine warmth. Her house wasn't just a place; it was a feeling – a feeling of belonging, joy, and unconditional affection. For me, especially my childhood, some of my happiest and most cherished memories were made under her roof.Her deep love for her family was evident in everything she did. I will forever remember her leading us in the family prayer before every meal, a tradition she upheld no matter where we were. It was a beautiful testament to her faith and her commitment to bringing us closer as a family.She was also a true fighter. She faced numerous health battles throughout her life, but she approached each one with incredible resilience and grace. Despite her struggles, she never let it diminish her spirit or her ability to make us feel her love and affection. She truly never missed a beat when it came to showering us with her warmth.Auntie Marie’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will live on in all of us. We are so incredibly fortunate to have had her in our lives, and while we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had. She will be deeply missed, but never, ever forgotten.
