Tajiro Uranaka Obituary
Tajiro Uranaka, 102, of Aiea, Hawaii passed away on May 18, 2024. He was born on July 27, 1921 in Wahiawa, Hawaii. He was a Leilehua High School graduate and a WWII veteran with the 442 Infantry Regiment Company F. Owner of Waipahu Repair and Waipahu Union Service.
He is preceded in death by wife, Aiko Uranaka & son, Mark Uranaka.
He is survived by:
Children, Colleen (Elton) Sur, Dudley Jo (Karen) Uranaka, Jay Uranaka
Daughter in-law, Sharon Uranaka
Grandchildren, Dean (Claudette) Sur, Janel (Derrick) Horiuchi, Sharla (Elio) Acosta, Brian Uranaka, Michael (Eriko) Uranaka, Krysti (David) Uranaka-Yamashiro, Michelle Uranaka
Great grandchildren, Ryan Sur-Kessler, Mason Sur-Kessler, Kyle Sur, Caitlyn Sur, Collin Horiuchi, Madison Horiuchi, Leah Acosta, Bryce Uranaka, Luna Uranaka
Great-great grandchildren, Jaxon Sur-Kessler, Mason Sur-Kessler Jr.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel.
Visitation begins at 5:00 pm and service 6:00 pm.
Private burial at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
