Sorry for lateness bruce will be missed
Bruce was my next door neighbor for 11 years in Alameda. He embodied kindness and generosity- always had a smile and a laugh. I will miss the way he looked at life- and I cherish many sweet memories with him and Patsy. Shalom, Jonathan
I worked as a nurse aide/caregiver in Hawaii for many years and I took care of Mr.Roy Bruce in my own care home for 14 months. He was always soft spoken, very kind and patient. My husband Rey and I enjoyed talking with him as he would met me on my level.Never making me feel I was just a caregiver..He always say Thank you and appreciated all things I do for him.I learned from his wife Patsy that he loves trees all his life and yes I sees him standing strong and tall like a tree giving shades of protections, love and care to all the people he loves.I know he will be missed by his family specially to his wife Patsy but know they take comfort in seing him again one day in heaven..May his soul rest in love and peace
Bruce was my friend. He stated years ago that "Len taught me the true meaning of friendship." Well, he also taught me the true meaning of friendship. Bruce, I love you. LenBruce's first words when calling, "HiYa Kid" will always be in my heart. I love you. Ginny
Bruce once said of me, "Len taught me the true meaning of friendship." Bruce in fact, taught me the true meaning of friendship. He was always there to help, listen, support and most of all laugh with. I loved the guy. Ginny and I thank Patsy for all the loving care she gave Bruce, especially during the last few years of his life. We will both miss him. "Hi Ya Kid" will always be heard when thinking of him. With much love,Ginny and Len
Bruce and I shared many adventures, experiences and mis-adventures, to be sure. Luckily, we both survived well beyond. He was my first employee of what was to become my 30-year tree care company and 50+ year-career. Clearly, he, as I, was attached to the world of trees in a way only we arborists grasp. Thanks for sharing, Bruce (and Pat, et al!)!.
What a beautiful obituary including such wonderful memories I was privileged to be part of in California after meeting Bruce and Patsy in early 1970s. Special gatherings in Alameda will be remembered forever with Bruce's humor being highlights of our visits ! God bless and comfort Patsy and all family, friends and neighbors.
Bruce was a very kind man he will be missed especially by his wife Patsy. Our hearts go out to you Patsy💕
